The Old Stone Church and Cemetery Commission was formed in 1893 by members who were concerned about the condition of the Old Stone Church (built c.1797) and cemetery. First known as the Old Stone Church and Cemetery Association (O.S.C. & C.A.); the first annual meeting was held in October 1894. In 1917 a Clemson Chapter of the Association was formed with Dr. R.N.
